2-DAY MEETING ON SANITATION, WATER FOR ALL TO BEGIN AT WASHINGTON FROM TOMORROW

A two-day meeting on Sanitation and Water for All will be held in Washington DC from Wednesday.

Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid will represent Pakistan at the meeting.

During the meeting, issues of water, sanitation and hygiene will be discussed and participants will have the opportunity to engage in debate for improving access to sanitation and drinking water for all.

A summit of Finance Ministers to discuss the same issues will also be held on Thursday which is convened by the World Bank.

It will be attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

Ministers of Finance will consider the crucial issue of funding to achieve the sanitation, water and hygiene related targets of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Countries and their partners will discuss national planning to meet the challenges of the water, sanitation and hygiene-related targets and required resources.
