The Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (Szabist) has signed an memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Educast, an online education provider offering video links for connecting rural students with teachers of urban-based educational centres, to promote education in rural areas, Szabist official told The News on Wednesday.
Under this agreement, Szabist and Educast will work towards developing projects through funding from local and international donors to establish innovative services for using information and communications technology in development, robotics for education and training.
According to him, Szabist has an array of state of the art educational platforms, which will be marketed through domestic and international collaborations and network of Educast in Middle East and North America.
He said that Szabist President Shahnaz Wazir Ali and the Educast Vice Chairman Sheikh Asrar Ahmed signed the MoU.
