NDMA, WFP SIGN AGREEMENT FOR INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT

National Disaster Management Authority and World Food Programme have signed an agreement for institutional capacity building of Disaster Management System in the country.

The accord was signed between Chairman NDMA Major General Asghar Nawaz and Country Director WFP Finbarr Curran in Islamabad on Monday.

Under the arrangement, funds would be utilized on the activities and training of School Safety Programme, Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction Programme and overall strengthening and capacity enhancement of national and provincial level disaster management authorities.
