Training of elected representatives of MCI starts

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started training of elected representatives of the Municipal Corporation (MCI) so that they could perform their services for the people in a better way.

CDA chairman and Mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Ansar Aziz on Tuesday inaugurated a three-day training workshop titled ‘ICT Local Government Municipal Bye-laws’ being participated by chairmen, vice chairmen and councillors from different Union Council (UCs).

Ansar Aziz while speaking on the occasion said that the CDA Training Academy would be upgraded so that the frequency of training courses is increased for capacity building of CDA employees and elected representatives of the Islamabad’s local government.

Executive Directorate of training academy Sanaullah Aman said during three-day course, the academy has planned programme to impart knowledge to the participants relating to municipal bye laws.
